USS
Abraham Lincoln is a US Navy Aircraft Carrier.
nearly 350m long, 63m in height and, at the flight
deck level, about 78.5m width! It's large to say
the least.
With
a flight deck area of about 18,000m2, the removal
of the old paint and the re-painting is a mammoth
task!
Unfortunately,
time constraints prevent the ship from having
its entire deck blasted and re-painted in one
go. So when USS Abraham Lincoln docked in Fremantle
with the task of 3,000m2 needing blasting and
painting, Jetcut Field
answered the call.
Using
our Ultra High Pressure (UHP) water blasting technology,
and a special type of UHP water blasting tool
(affectionately reffered to as the "lawnmower")
Jetcut Field blasted sections
of the flight deck back to bare metal, ready for
repainting.
