One
of the first projects undertaken by Jetcut
Field, involved the removal of liners
from 9 bridges between Wyndham and Kunnunarra
in Western Australia's far north-west.
The
removal of the liners was necessary for a bridge
expansion project - changing single lane bridges
into double lane - and involved cutting through
over 1 metre of concrete. An extra additional
challenge was having to operate over water, not
solid land; and as an aside, the team on the Wyndham
project had to watch out for crocodiles!
Jetcut
Field's
workhorse intensifier was sent, along with a range
of UHP equipment, pipes and hoses, and a range
of jigs and specialised automated equipment to
carry out the job.
The
job was somewhat arduos - 40°C+ temperatures
(in the shade), limited water supply, up to 50km
between towns, and the added possibility of wild
crocodiles! Nevertheless, Jetcut Field's
team of operators and engineers, combined with
our state-of-the art equipment, completed the
job within the alloted time frame.
